Port Tasting Notes
LBV (Late Bottled Vintage Port) has much of the character of a traditional Vintage Port. An LBV Port is from a single vintage year, and will have been aged in a wooden barrel for 4-6 years before bottling. It stays in the barrel for 2-4 years longer than a Vintage Port before bottling, hence the name ‘Late Bottled’. An LBV will tend to be lighter bodied than a Vintage Port.
